Welcome to Classie Lassies Girls Softball
Since 1974, Classie Lassies Girls Softball has been dedicated to empowering young athletes through the game of softball. Built on the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and community, our league began with just 100 girls playing on local school fields—driven by a shared love for the sport and a vision for something greater.
That vision became reality in 1983 when, with incredible community support, 17 acres of land on Edwards Road in Wynantskill were purchased to create a permanent home for the league. What started with just two fields and a retired milk truck as a concession stand has grown into something truly special.
Today, Classie Lassies is proud to be one of the premier youth softball organizations in the Capital District. Our facilities now feature:
- Four enclosed softball fields and a dedicated tee-ball field
- Batting cages
- A fully stocked concession stand
- A covered picnic pavilion
- Modern restroom facilities
We serve more than 300 girls, ages 4 through 16, across five divisions designed to support both competitive and developmental play.
Beyond our recreational season, Classie Lassies offers expanded opportunities for players to grow and compete. Our travel teams participate in the Hudson Mohawk Softball League and compete in tournaments hosted by USA Softball, USSSA, PONY, FPN, and other organizations. We also host multiple multi-day tournaments each year, welcoming teams from across New York and the Northeast.
At Classie Lassies, we’re more than a league—we’re a community committed to developing confident athletes, strong leaders, and lifelong friendships.
